New Albany Classic Invitational Grand Prix & Family Day

The Classic is a family-focused day of fun featuring carnival rides, crafts and entertainment, including the annual Tween Brands Concert at The Classic presented by Justice. This year’s headline act is Nashville-based pop music sensation Hot Chelle Rae with British YouTube phenom Conor Maynard opening the concert. The festivities culminate with an internationally-sanctioned Grand Prix competition that will feature athletes from the 2012 London Olympic Games. All proceeds from the event benefit The Center for Family Safety and Healing.
Tickets are $20 per person ages 11 and up. Children 10 and under are free, but a ticket is required via e events.

The Grandview area is nothing short of the city's premier incubator for the craft of micro brewing.

Starting in 1998 with Smokehouse Brewing (formerly Barley's Smokehouse and Brewpub), the area has seen tremendous growth in craft brew destinations, offering a surprising range of intriguing styles of beer and brewing methods.
This brewery tour is priced at $55.00. It includes tastings at 3 breweries, tastings at the Ohio Taproom, a light snack, air-conditioned van transportation between all of the stops, and a guide with plenty of local beer knowledge. It lasts approximately 3.5 - 4 hours.

The National Loss Team Conference: Postvention: It's About Time!?

The Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation in partnership with the National Loss Team Committee will host The National Loss Team Conference: Postvention: It's About Time! on September 9 - 10, 2014.
Expected Outcomes: Identify the benefits of active postvention for the community and the emotional benefits of getting help sooner verses later Demonstrate a broadened view of those impacted by sudden and traumatic loss Let attendees know what is normal grieving for survivors, and to authenticate that there is a reason for their complicated grief Identify promising programs and interventions to reduce the risk of suicide, help prevent suicide deaths and identify directions for future suicide prevention initiatives

Columbus Oktoberfest

Columbus Oktoberfest celebrates decades of fabulous food, frothy beverages, lively polkas and much more. Two entertainment halls, an arts and crafts area, a children's area, COSI on Wheels, polka contests, cream puff eating contest and a display of the Columbus Historical Society are just some of the festivities to expect.







Short North Tour of Homes
(Presale tickets are $15 otherwise $20 day of the tour)
Victorian Village residents welcome thousands of visitors from across the Midwest to their annual tour of homes and gardens. Tour buses circle the route all day but the tour is also a very enjoyable walking tour through shady, tree-lined streets. There is also a Preview Tour the day before the main tour which includes the tour plus an elegant dinner in a private home for which a $100 donation is requested.
All proceeds from the tour go toward enhancing and preserving this architecturally and historically significant neighborhood on the National Register of Historical Places.
